Elva Shines at Her First Ever Special Olympics Event!

Elva stole the show at her first ever Special Olympics event, and her fan club was out in full force to cheer her on! Competing in the MATP School Qualifying Event at the John Birmingham Centre in Cork, Elva joined 48 incredible athletes from across Munster. The Motor Activities Training Programme supports individuals with profound intellectual disabilities and complex needs, promoting health, motor development, and community inclusion. Elva’s big day was filled with smiles, encouragement, and pure joy as she embraced the spotlight. A proud and inspiring moment for all—Elva is just getting started, and the future looks bright!

Brilliant bronze as floorball team spirit shines through

It was all to play for on the floorball court today, as Team Ireland fought to be placed on the podium for medals. The first floorball match was against Costa Rica, a side which our floorball lads had faced multiple times previously at these Games.

Team Ireland floorball entered the third day of competition seasoned by the valuable experience of their previous 7 total World Winter Games matches. With pride, determination, and unshakeable team spirit, they entered the arena and prepared to compete with skill and energy.
