Introducing the Athlete Passport
A new resource that can help clubs get to know their athletes better – their likes, dislikes, needs and helpful accommodations – is now available for download from our website.
The Athletes Passport features a series of checklists and areas to note down the athletes’ preferences, how they prefer to communicate., any sensory issues, triggers and how they react to stress and upset, how to help if they get upset, and more.
This resource can be a great help to volunteer, coaches and others in the club to understand and prepare for the needs and capacities of their athletes. You can find it on 2 places on our website: the MATP page https://www.specialolympics.ie/sports/motor-activities-training-program and the Young Athletes Activity Guide and Resources: Young Athletes Activity Guide and Resources | Special Olympics Ireland
