Today marks Special Olympics Ireland’s first Collection Day, post-pandemic and nearly 2,000 volunteers are out in communities across the island of Ireland looking for your donations.

 Special Olympics Ireland’s athlete Health Messenger team and staff have been working closely with Mental Health Ireland to co-produce a series of workshops focused on mental health promotion for people with intellectual disabilities.

This year the public are being asked to get involved in Collection Day on Friday April 29th by volunteering or taking part in their virtual 5k for Collection Day challenge
