What We Do (Suggested layout)

Special Olympics Ireland is a sports organisation for people with an intellectual disability from the age of 4 years old with no upper age limit.

Our Sports Programme offers competition, training and events in 15 sports (13 Summer and 2 Winter Sports) plus a non-competitive Motor Activities Training Programme and a Young Athletes Programme.

Beyond Sport we offer a number of opportunities to our athletes. Our Health & Wellbeing Programme provides health screenings, health education and resources to athletes, in a fun and welcoming environment and our Athlete Leadership Programme encourages athletes to develop skills which will empower them to be advocates for themselves and other athletes.

Special Olympics Ireland is a sports organisation for people with an intellectual disability, but we provide athletes with far more than the physical benefits of sport.

We support future Champions!
