Lisburn 2gether Shine at Special Olympics Ireland 2025 Regional Advancement Games

Special Olympics Ireland is proud to celebrate the incredible success of the Lisburn 2gether football team, who competed in the 2025 Regional Advancement Competition at Allen Park, Antrim on May 17th.

The team delivered an outstanding performance, showcasing skill, determination, and teamwork — and were rewarded with gold in their division! Their achievement is a testament to the hard work of the athletes, coaches, and volunteers who make Special Olympics possible every day.

The day brought its share of challenges, with one athlete sustaining an injury that required a visit to A&E. We’re relieved and grateful to share that it was not serious, and we wish them a swift and full recovery.

To the athletes of Lisburn 2gether; we are so proud of you all. Your dedication, sportsmanship, and unity are an inspiration to the entire Special Olympics community.
