We are delighted to announce the appointment of Oisín Jordan as our new Director of Sport.

Oisín has been an integral part of Special Olympics since 2004, when he first joined as the inaugural Regional Development Officer for Sport in Leinster. He later went on to serve as Football for All National Coordinator with the FAI, where he introduced and implemented the organisation’s first Football for All strategy.

In 2019, Oisín returned to Special Olympics as Regional Director of the Eastern Region, guiding his team through the challenges of Covid-19 and overseeing continued growth across the programme. Earlier this year, his outstanding contribution to inclusive sport was recognised with a Special Recognition Award from Active Disability Ireland.

Throughout his career, Oisín has been a tireless advocate for athlete empowerment, health and wellbeing, Athlete Leadership, and coach development. He has also represented us internationally as a Special Olympics Europe Eurasia Sports Advisor for Football, supporting competitions across the region.

Please join us in congratulating Oisín on this well-deserved appointment. We look forward to working with Oisin in this new role, as we continue to strengthen and expand our sports programme.
