Selections evening -Team Connaught, 2026 Special Olympics Ireland Games
The selections for Team Connaught took place on Thursday 4th September in the Connacht Hotel, Galway.
Many volunteers, parents, guardians and athletes were in attendance. Evelyn Bohan, Regional Chairperson, together with fellow committee members and regional staff selected the quota of 159 athletes over the 13 sports.
The volunteer Regional Management Team will now be selected to manage all elements of the project.
In total Special Olympics Connaught will have a delegation of 234.
