Celebrating Swimming Success at Leisureland Galway

Leisureland Galway played host to an incredible showcase of talent and sportsmanship during the recent Connaught Regional Swimming Events for Category 2+3 athletes. The events were held across two important days — Divisioning Day on 30th April and the main Competition Day on 7th May

A total of 106 athletes took to the pool, demonstrating not only their impressive swimming abilities but also their dedication, perseverance, and team spirit. The atmosphere was electric, filled with cheers, encouragement, and proud moments for athletes, families, and supporters alike.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to the incredible volunteers and officials who gave their time and energy to make the events run smoothly and professionally. Also, special mention to the students from Colaiste Iognaid for volunteering at these 2 events. From timekeeping to marshalling and everything in between, your support was invaluable.

Special appreciation is also extended to the head coaches who prepared the athletes so thoroughly. Your commitment to training, encouragement, and athlete development was evident in every swim.

Well done to all the athletes who participated — your achievements in the pool are a testament to your hard work and determination. We look forward to many more inspiring events ahead.
