Kelly Fitzgerald and Naas Pythons Club honoured at Volunteers in Sport Awards
On Thursday 26th February, the efforts of Special Olympics Ireland volunteers were highlighted with two award wins at the Federation of Irish Sport Volunteers in Sport Awards at the Crowne Plaza, Blanchardstown.
We were absolutely delighted to see Kelly Fitzgerald from Owenabue Special Olympics Club receive the individual Volunteer award for County Cork. Kelly was one of 36 award recipients across Ireland. Kelly has shown dynamism and dedication to gymnastics within Special Olympics Ireland, across her club, Region, and at World Games level. This award represents a truly well-deserved recognition of her impact and commitment.
Many congratulations to Naas Pythons Special Olympics Sports Club on receiving the inaugural Clann Credo - Community Loan Finance Provincial Club Award for Leinster, a fantastic achievement which recognises the impact that the club has made in its community.
We would like to extend our congratulations to all of the award recipients. Your passion and generosity make such a difference across Irish sport.
