Special Olympics Ireland – Summer Games 2026

From 18–21 June, Ireland’s largest inclusive event of the year will deliver four unforgettable days of sport, passion, and celebration. Over 1,200 athletes, who qualified through regional competitions last year, will now compete at an All-Island level across athletics, aquatics, basketball, football, golf, and more. The Games open on 18 June with a spectacular ceremony welcoming over 6,000 fans.

Each day will feature thrilling competitions alongside Young Athletes and Motor Activity Training Programme (MATP) festivals, Health Screening, and much more—giving every participant, regardless of ability, the chance to shine.

The Ireland Summer Games are more than sport—they celebrate inclusion, showcase talent, and inspire communities across the Island of Ireland.
