She has many years\u2019 experience in the Eastern region taking on various event roles, such as Athletics Competition Manager. She has also held the position of Athletics head coach for the Eastern region team at a number of Ireland Games. She has extensive experience of Special Olympics World Games, having worked as manager of the coaches\u2019 information desk at the 2003 World Summer Games in Dublin, and at the 2011 \u0026amp; 2015 Games in Athens and LA as assistant athletics coach and athletics head coach respectively. Ailish was an outstanding elite athlete in her own right representing Ireland at the Olympics Games in Seoul in 1988 in the marathon.
