Basketball Skills Introduction January 2011
On Saturday 15th January the students of I.T.Tralee hosted a Basketball skills training day for all the athletes in County Kerry. Over 100 athletes their coaches and family members came along and had a fun filled day not only all getting to practice and learn how to do the basketball skills event but also to see a very exciting basketball match between St. Brendan’s basketball club and the students of I.T Tralee. The St. Brendan’s team featured one of the atheltes of Tralee Together Special Olmypics Club Jack Kingston who trains with St. Brendan’s teams.
A great day was had by all and every participant went home with a basketball donated by the students of IT Tralee. Well done to the students who had put so much work into the preparation for this event over the past 4 months.
