The Eastern Region Aquatics Sports Team have put together a handy reference document for you. It links to rules, different coaching guides and other links that might help you and your assistant coaches. This is not a definitive guide but should certainly provide some useful information and ideas. A huge thanks to the team for pulling it together. Any ideas on additional links/info to add let us know!

Resources for Aquatics Coaches & Volunteers

Dear Coach/ Volunteer,

As part of our ongoing development programme for Aquatics in the Eastern Region, we wanted to share the wealth of information which is freely available and will hopefully provide you with additional tools to help you develop training programmes for the benefit of your athletes and also to help develop your own skills!

Yours in sport,

Eastern Region Aquatics Team

1.3. Aquatics Rules 2011
National Governing Body (NGB) rules apply in Special Olympics events, except for certain Special Olympics rules, which supersede the NGB rules, and are listed in this document.  Swim Ireland is the NGB for swimming in Ireland, with FINA rules applied.  FINA rule books are available from www.fina.org or from www.swimireland.ie.
