Tax Relief on Donations

Depending on the amount of your donation, Special Olympics Ireland may be eligible to claim tax back of up to 45% of the value of your donation.

If you donate €250 or more in one year (January to December) Special Olympics Ireland can claim back the tax paid by individuals on PAYE or self-assessed. This means that a donation of €250 could be worth €362.50 to Special Olympics Ireland without costing you anything extra!
Donations are cumulative, so a direct debit of just €21 a month will bring you over the threshold. At the end of the year, we will send you the appropriate form that we need to claim back the tax. The forms are also available here for download.

CHY3 - If you are in a position to continue to support us over the coming years then an Enduring Certificate (CHY3) will allow Special Olympics Ireland to claim tax relief in respect of your donations during the lifetime of the certificate (ie: 5 years from the signature date). Download the form here.

CHY4 - for donations greater than €250 per year since January 2013 please fill out a CHY4 form and return it to us. Download the form here.

If you would like to sign up for a regular donation please fill out this form and return it to us at :
