Working in Partnership
- How to get involved
Special Olympics Ireland is fortunate to have a number of dedicated charity partners.
Without the support and funding from these organisations aswell as volunteer fundraising we would be unable achieve our mission which is to "to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with an intellectual disability, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendships with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community."
The list on this page is not exhaustive and we would like to thank everyone who continues to support our organisation in anyway now matter how small or big, your support makes a difference.
If your organisation would like to get involved with Special Olympics Ireland here are some of the ways in which you can help:
We also offer plans for Events Sponsorship, Gift-in-Kind and other Corporate Giving methods.

Get involved in a particular aspect of our work
For example: In 2015, the Special Olympics World
Summer Games took place in Los Angeles, giving our
sponsors the opportunity to talk to their stakeholders
about a very unique partnership. In 2017, the Special Olympics
World Games will take place in Austria and we also have
area games which all offer sponsorship opportunities.
| Employee fundraising|| Volunteering|
| Employees working together to organise or take |
part in fundraising events will boost moral and
team spirit whilst also generating good will. Ask
about our calendar of events or organise your own.
|The Special Olympics programme operates in all provinces across|
the island or Ireland, there we are in the unique position to offer
volunteering opportunities at a location near your office(s).
To discuss these or any of the above opportunities please contact Paul Ahearne, Corporate Account Manager on Paul.Ahearne@specialolympics.ie or call 01 869 1608.
