In February 2009 eight athletes represented Special Olympics Ireland at the 2009 Special Olympics World Winter Games in Boise, Idaho, USA. Click here if you want to find out more about TEAM Ireland who took part in the Games.
Volunteer Vacancies:: Sport Development Team
We are currently seeking a number of volunteers to play a leading role in developing and enhancing our sports programmes.
Are you in need of a new challenge? Do you want to utilise your sporting expertise to help change the lives of people with an intellectual disability? If so we need you. With 14 sports now on offer, Special Olympics Ireland needs your sports expertise to help drive the development of our sports program
mes.
Vacancies exist for those that wish to take a leading role in the development of the folowing sports programmes:
- Athletics
- Badminton
- Football
- Golf
- Table Tennis
In addition there are also opportunities in a number of other sports in areas such as : coach education, sports competitions, officials, recruitment and league administration.
