Special Olympics recognise the importance of family support to our athletes which happens in a number of ways:
- Ensuring your athlete has an up-to-date Athlete Participation Form, which is essential in order for an athlete to remain registered with Special Olympics
- Bringing your athlete to and from their Special Olympics club for training
- Attending Special Olympics competition events to support and cheer on your athlete
- Become advocates for the Special Olympics movement
For those family members who wish to become more involved in the Special Olympics programme, there are volunteering opportunities available. However they must first complete the volunteer registration process, before they can undertake any role, at any level, in the organisation.
