10 Pin Bowling was the first Munster Area Advancement event of the season (and the 4 year cycle) and was held in The Planet, Blackpool, Cork. There were 4 clubs and services represented at this local competitive event with over 60 athletes participating- Waterford Special Olympics Clubs, Carriglea, Tramore Special Olympics Club and South Tipperary Tigers. It was a good competitive event with all athletes pushing hard to win. David Sheehan from Tramore Special Olympics Club posted a 114, which was the best score on the day. Munster Regional Director 'Eóin Ó Béara' said "the event ran extremely well, largely due to the great volunteers we had on the day. Volunteers from 'The Planet' and volunteers who give their time to supporting these area events day in day out were fantastic and were brilliantly guided by Alan Picwick, Competition Manager and Hillary Doonan, Event Manager. I would like to thank everyone for their help not only on the day but also with their help leading up to the event."    Garda Enda O'Dwyer...

'Volunteers are priceless'

Some of the local volunteers who assisted at
the recent Kayaking event in Lough Rynn, Mohill

Many thanks to all the regional volunteers
who assisted at our events in 2019. As
always without your assistance we could not
deliver our sports programme.
