The very first All-Ireland Athlete Leadership Forum took place on Saturday the 11th of October 2014 in the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Dublin with 81 athletes and 62 mentors in attendance. Participants came from Special Olympics Connaught, Leinster, Munster, and Eastern Region.

Join us of our annual Superhero Day which is taking place across Ireland this October. Hundreds of creches across Ireland have again answered our call and have signed up to take part in what is now one of the funniest and enjoyable fundraising campaigns in the Special Olympics calendar. We are also calling on businesses, universities, schools, clubs, groups of friends and neighbours to get on board and join in the fun. What's involved?  You choose a day that suits you in your organisation, home or chosen host venue for your Superhero Day. Most of our participants are doing it in or around Halloween but it doesn't have to be. Send out your invites/notices to your guests asking them to dress up as their favourite Superhero or TV character. You will then ask the participants to make a donation (big or small!) to Special Olympics Ireland. How to get involved? Simply register your Superhero Day by following this link....

'Volunteers are priceless'

Some of the local volunteers who assisted at
the recent Kayaking event in Lough Rynn, Mohill

Many thanks to all the regional volunteers
who assisted at our events in 2019. As
always without your assistance we could not
deliver our sports programme.
