This was the first event we have held in this new Delta indoor sports complex on the Ballysimon Industrial estate. What a great day we had thanks to the management of the Delta soccer dome and the terrific volunteers who were all part of the Ireland games in Limerick the event manager was Eugene Moroney and the competition manager Eileen O’Connell. The 55 athletes who attended on the day from the Limerick and Cork clubs had great singles competitions and really enjoyed the day. The feedback from the clubs attending was very positive and a great boost for our Bocce programme in the Region. Well done everyone involved!

Just under 100 athletes were in attendance and took part in a variety of Run, Jump, & Throw stations with the emphasis on fun and getting everyone active. Thanks to all the local volunteers and the students from Athlone Community College who helped on the day to ensure all ran smoothly.

The highlight of the day was a team relay activity which all athletes participated in after lunch. A coaches pack with a variety of drills and activities will be forwarded to all after the event.
