Western People West of Ireland women’s mini marathon launched

The 3rd annual Western People West of Ireland women’s mini marathon was launched in Castlebar by Minister of State for Tourism and Sport, TD Michael Ring.
The date for your diaries is Bank Holiday Sunday, May 6th.
If you would like to run for fun, walk or jog this exciting 10k race on behalf of Special Olympics Connaught please contact Lydia, 071-9118320 / lydia.rogers@specialolympics.ie for your pack.
Each finisher receives a souvenir medal and Special Olympics t-shirt.

Ever wanted to be a VIP? Don’t we all! Well, here’s your chance.
Special Olympics Connaught is giving you the opportunity to take part in their 2012 Polar Plunge, where you can be a VIP or Very Important Plunger for a really great cause.
Experience heart-warming and bone chilling extremes as you take the plunge on February 19th in Salthill, Galway. There’ll be fun, food and some very cool prizes for VIPs, so what are you waiting for?
