In Special Olympcis Ireland, the first step on the coaching ladder for a new volunteer is the Introduction to Coaching Practices course. This provides new volunteers with a basic understanding of the principles of coaching in Special Olympics. The course is non-sports specific, is open to any registered volunteer and will qualify you to act as an Assistant Coach in any Special Olympics Affiliated Group.
