8am: TEAM Ireland awoke to Polish rain and had an early breakfast again. No lie-ins over here! But loads of fun to be had today....
10am: Tour of the beautiful Olsztyn city on a big bus with lovely sites like the garrisons, the town hall and the university campus where the Athletics team started their training. The students from the campus thought they were up to the challenge when they asked to race Nicolle Smith....little did they know they would be left in the dust.
The table tennis and badminton teams then went off to their training facility which housed the university swimming pool also.
The football team then went to train at a school and were cheered on by the students who got a welcome break from study.
The bowlers had great fun when they defeated all the volunteers and coaches.
3pm: A new past-time was taken up by the athletes after lunch when we all visited the Planetarium to star gaze and learn about the planets and stars.
5pm: All the athletes had their dancing shoes on and went to a dance hall for a disco and dance lessons which were enjoyed by all. The athletes however had some hidden dance talents they couldn’t wait to show off.
8pm: All the team came back with tired feet and smiles on their faces for dinner and relaxation. Back up to the rooms for packing our clothes and gifts for our long journey back to Warsaw tomorrow.
