4am: All the athletes are just getting into a deep sleep when the alarm clocks start ringing. Everyone quickly gets dressed and down for breakfast. Everyone had happy smiley faces to be heading away. Polska tu dochodzimy
530am: Matt English and Francis Kavanagh meet all of TEAM Ireland at Dublin airport and wished us All the Best in the Games.
7am: All onboard, a few nervous passengers but we made it on the plane in the end.
1230pm: Arrived safely in Poland to an encore of cheers and colours of green, white and gold. Took a TEAM Ireland photo and onto our bus.
130pm: The Irish Ambassador to Poland, Ambassador Eugene Hutchinson, met us. We had our lunch in the roller skating arena which is also the venue for the Closing Ceremony. Some tired heads starting to appear.
3pm: Started on our long 4 hour bus journey to our Host Town of Olsztyn.
All settled in after having goulash for dinner. Early rise tomorrow for training, meeting the President of Olsztyn and going to watch the torch run.
So much to do and so little time!
